Čest svému jménu jednoznačně dělají manželé Eva a Jan Sedlákovi, kteří po vzoru svých předků již více než čtvrtstoletí hospodaří na usedlosti v obci Šošůvka uprostřed Moravského krasu, spjaté se sedláky s malým i velkým S přes dvě stě let. A v loňském roce tomu bylo přesně pětadvacet let, kdy coby průkopníci začali na své farmě vyrábět a zásobovat trh výbornými kozími sýry a dalšími mléčnými dobrotami, na které nedají dopustit zákazníci od Brna až k Praze. Na konci loňského roku získala Kozí farma Sedlák bronz v soutěži Asociace soukromého zemědělství ČR Farma roku.
„Příběh našeho statku s číslem popisným 45 začal v roce 1812, a to rozdělením vedlejší, téměř dvacetihektarové usedlosti na polovinu. O několik let později se vdova po majiteli statku, Kateřina Kučerová, vdala za Karla Sedláka a společně tu hospodařili již pod tímto jménem. K velkému rozkvětu celého hospodářství došlo zejména ve třicátých letech minulého století, kdy tady sedlačil děda Jaroslav, který se věnoval hlavně chovu a výkrmu prasat a mimo jiné vynikal také obchodním talentem. V tu dobu vystavěl stodolu a o něco později i chlévy, jež plně vyhovovaly chovaným zvířatům, a po nutné rekonstrukci je spokojeně využíváme dodnes. Neobvykle a velmi prakticky například využil i zdejšího svažitého terénu, a to tak, že na prostornou půdu nad chlévy mohl vjíždět po mostě koňský potah s plně naloženým povozem píce. V roce 1959 musel děda vstoupit do nově založeného místního JZD a rodině zůstal pouze malý třicetiarový záhumenek. Hodně pozitivní bylo, že se děda Jaroslav dožil změny režimu i chvíle, kdy jsme mu oznámili, že budeme pokračovat v jeho šlépějích,“ říká Jan Sedlák.*
